WHAT DO WE DO

Emergency Scene Assistance
CFAAA volunteers provide essential logistical and rehabilitative support during active fire incidents and emergencies. Operating the Rehab Truck and the Light and Air Truck, we help keep firefighters safe and operational. Our responsibilities include:
- Refilling SCBA air tanks to ensure a continuous supply of breathable air
- Distributing water and supplies to crews for hydration and physical recovery
- Supporting sustained emergency operations in high-stress, high-heat environments
Fundraising
Our fundraising efforts go beyond CFAAA operations. We directly support the McKinney Fire Department by funding programs, resources, and initiatives that fall outside the department’s budget. Since the fire department cannot solicit donations, we help by:
- Providing funds for training tools and safety equipment
- Enhancing community safety programs
- Supporting the professional development and well-being of MFD personnel
To help us continue this vital support.

Community Outreach
CFAAA members assist with key public education initiatives that promote life-saving skills and emergency preparedness. One of our most valued contributions is support for the MFD’s Ready to React class. This program teaches:
- Hands-Only CPR
- Use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
- “Stop the Bleed” first aid protocol
These skills empower everyday citizens to respond confidently during medical emergencies, before professional help arrives.
